This month I’m featuring the Charles Wysocki original painting, framed by the artist in varnished maple. This fabulous piece is one of a kind; it has never been reproduced or offered in print, and it is simply stunning, and it can my yours for $35,000, which is 20% off the original asking price. This is a STEAL!

Charles Wysocki has been honored, not only by becoming one of America’s most famous artists, but by several organizations that honor Americans who have brought our country the pride and honor it deserves. This painting (acrylic on board) is very special and I have enjoyed it for 45 years since I purchased it directly off the wall from the Triton Museum in the second show the artist had at the very beginning of his daring career as a fine artist in 1967. He wrote,”There is a simple message in my work, and it is love.” Wysocki’s paintings celebrated his love for things American. This large square painting, “Yellow Saltbox in Rhode Island” is inspiration he took from his wedding trip to New England where he fell in love with the Northeast.  Quoting from the book, Heartland, published in 1994 by the Greenwich Workshop Collection, Wysocki says, “There is a  country in my mind, a landscape in my heart, a place that does not appear on any map but is so clear and sharply detailed that to paint it, I have only to look within.” This lovely painting from his second gallery show is for sale here and the asking price is  well below the professional appraisal at $50,000.

The painting is mostly VERY white, and the yellow in the photograph will be corrected to show the accurate depiction of the work upon request. It is beautifully framed by Wysocki himself in wide ,flat, rock maple and his L.A. address is right where he put it when hanging it in San Jose at the Triton on the third floor.  He told me he hiked all his paintings up the stairs because the elevator was broken.  I think he saw the humor in it all because   he must have known what place his art would eventually take in the hearts of Americans.
